Location: Ashland, VA
Shift: 1st Shift
Starting Pay: $20/hour (Higher pay available based on experience)

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator with a background in structural steel fabrication. This role involves operating CNC equipment, working from technical drawings, performing quality checks, and supporting daily production.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC equipment, including combination mill/lathe and drill line machines.
• Produce structural steel components according to blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain accurate and efficient production.
• Use hand and power tools for machining and assembly tasks.
• Inspect completed work to verify dimensions and structural specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic machine maintenance.
• Enter production information and maintain records in Global Shop (ERP system).
• Follow workplace safety procedures and work effectively with the production team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in structural steel fabrication required.
• Experience operating CNC equipment, specifically combination mill/lathe and drill line machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Strong computer skills; Global Shop or similar ERP experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and maintain quality standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods.
