Summary:
The Digital Strategy Lead at Telecel is responsible for driving the company’s digital offensive to establish market leadership, deepen youth and digital culture engagement, and convert Telecel’s product strengths into measurable digital preference, adoption, and share-of-voice dominance. This role owns the end-to-end digital strategy across social, search, earned media, and digital products, ensuring competitive differentiation through data-driven campaigns, authentic cultural relevance, and scalable digital ecosystems. The leader will spearhead digital product adoption (Telecel Cash, Telecel Play, TERi, E-Commerce), manage reputation and sentiment, lead influencer and content strategies, and leverage automation and AI to optimize user journeys and lifetime value—positioning Telecel as the preferred digital brand for Gen Z and Millennials.
Responsibilities:
• Own Telecel’s digital competitive strategy and share-of-voice programme across social, search, and earned digital.
• Identify and exploit competitor vulnerabilities; anticipate and neutralize competitive digital campaigns.
• Translate product satisfaction and advocacy into scalable digital proof and engagement.
• Lead online sentiment monitoring, response protocols, and escalation frameworks.
• Drive proactive reputation-building and sentiment recovery initiatives.
• Partner with Customer Experience to close service loops and convert detractors into advocates.
• Maintain a live crisis and issues playbook for digital channels.
• Own and grow the digital adoption agenda for Telecel Cash, Telecel Play, TERi, E-Commerce, and E-Channels.
• Lead digital activation for Mobile Financial Services growth.
• Manage and expand the Telecel Cash social ecosystem, including dedicated handles and always-on content.
• Oversee website management and optimize registration-to-active conversion rates.
• Develop and execute an always-on content strategy across all social platforms and owned digital properties.
• Drive genuine community growth, engagement, and participation—beyond vanity metrics.
• Embed youth culture, music, technology, gaming, and lifestyle trends into digital storytelling.
• Lead in-house content capability in collaboration with the creative team.
• Own influencer and creator strategy, including selection, contracting, and long-term partnerships.
• Lead digital activation of brand ambassador programmes across owned and creator channels.
