CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR I - (T238042)Description 

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Neurosurg-Clinical Research, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I.

The Clinical Research Coordinator I supports the successful execution of clinical research studies by coordinating day-to-day study activities in accordance with study protocols, federal regulations, institutional policies, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. Under the guidance of senior research staff and investigators, this role assists with all phases of the clinical trial lifecycle, including study start-up, participant recruitment and screening, data collection, study visits, regulatory compliance, and study closeout. The Clinical Research Coordinator I works collaboratively with investigators, research teams, and study participants to ensure high-quality research operations while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory and ethical standards. Get informed consent and answer questions related to the study with help from the Principal Investigator. Study visits, scheduling, and data tracking.

General Responsibilities

  • To serve as coordinator for studies and provide support to other team members within the confines of the protocol as directed.

  • To support screening and participant eligibility determination, working with more senior team members to ensure compliance.

  • To conduct activities in accordance with the protocol, regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

  • To assist with the study life cycle from start-up to closure, i.e., collecting and recording data, recruiting and performing follow-up with participants, scheduling visits and assisting in coordination of lab and fieldwork.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary Range:   $43,890 - $71,320

 Qualifications 

High School diploma or GED required.

Preferences

  • Ability to operate various office equipment, including printers, computers, and various software packages.

  • Interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  • Written and verbal communication skills.

  • Data entry skills.
