MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mission Integration Engineer to join our team in Patuxent River, MD.  This is an onsite position.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between operational warfighting concepts and technical system-of-systems requirements. You will be instrumental in decomposing high-level naval and joint task lists into actionable mission threads, kill chains, and integrated capability technical baselines (ICTBs) to shape the future of naval investments and acquisition pathways.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the PMA-298 Naval Capabilities-Based Integration Process (NCIP) Integrated Product Team (IPT)

  • Analyze and decompose Universal Joint Task Lists (UJTL) and Universal Naval Task Lists (UNTL) into specific functional parts, mission threads, and target-pairing requirements

  • Integrate with a cross-functional team of acquisition, budget, and intelligence SMEs to develop Naval Concepts of Employment (CONEMPs), kill chain/kill web wholeness assessments, and Design Reference Missions (DRMs)

  • Collaborate with OPNAV and NAVAIR pillar program representatives to compile technical baselines and define kinetic/non-kinetic configurations across multiple future time epochs

  • Utilize or learn Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to capture mission architectures and system-of-systems relationships within digital modeling tools

  • Coordinate and facilitate technical meetings, working groups, and collaborative sessions among multi-disciplinary experts to influence the entire acquisition lifecycle

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, operations research, physics, computer science, or a related scientific discipline

  • Must be a graduate of a military warfare center of excellence Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) curriculum (e.g., TOPGUN, MAWTS-1, EAWS, CAEWWS, AWS, or Joint equivalent)

  • 8+ years of professional experience directly related to the analysis of military mission areas, CONEMPs, and associated kill chains

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Training Officer, Operations Officer, or Planner with deep familiarity in breaking down joint or naval task lists into operational training syllabi or execution plans

  • Strong operational background across Joint Operations, Surface Warfare, Information Warfare, or Air-to-Surface mission areas (not strictly limited to aviation)

  • Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architecture, MagicDraw, or a strong aptitude and willingness to quickly learn digital engineering/architecture modeling tools

  • DoD 5000 series lifecycle and capability gap assessment processes

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current and active Top Secret clearance and be willing and able to obtain an SCI

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $165,900.00-$295,300.00.
