An IT Support Supervisor position is available at our Ripley location near Memphis due to an upcoming retirement. This role involves supervising and leading technical staff who manage all client-based support issues.
- Lead, schedule, and supervise the IT desktop support team on the completion of all duties and operational requirements for a manufacturing facility.
- Provide leadership to subordinates and select, coach, and develop employees for optimal effectiveness.
- Identify competencies and skills and evaluate proficiency.
- Address skill or proficiency gaps through coaching, training and working with the HR team.
- Work closely with the support staff both onsite and remote, providing supervisory support for end-user device deployments, software installations and phone administration.
- Create and maintain process and procedure documentation.
- Define and update IT policies and procedures to ensure corporate standards are upheld.
- Define and enforce best practices and standards for how IT support specifically in the break/fix area operates. Remove roadblocks and/or redefine goals as necessary to meet business objectives.
- Keep informed of developments in IT technologies.
- Manage IT assets at multiple Komatsu locations (offices, warehouses, distribution centers, plants, factory stores, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Related Field (or Experience in lieu of) 5+ years of IT experience; extensive knowledge of client support and troubleshooting Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Strong customer service skillset
- Proficient in the latest technology for IT hardware/peripherals, operating systems, and various applications.
- Excellent project management and process improvement skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple complex tasks. Experience with project management and collaboration tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading small teams and influencing broader organizational change.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel to other Komatsu locations as needed
