In your role as Tax Manager Direct Tax, Compliance & Reporting, you are part of our Group Tax department and contribute to continuously improving the quality and efficiency of our tax, compliance and reporting processes while driving the digital transformation of our tax function.

 

What you can expect
  • You are responsible for the preparation and quality assurance of tax reporting in accordance with IAS 12 / IAS 34 as part of the quarterly and annual financial statements and for the monthly cash flow tax reporting in close collaboration with Group Accounting and Treasury.
  • You act as the key contact for external auditors on tax-related matters in the audit process and ensure professional communication with external stakeholders.
  • You prepare the corporate tax returns for our German entities and ensure that all tax compliance requirements are met.
  • You coordinate and are responsible for the (public) country-by-country reporting and support tax audits.
  • You handle ongoing direct tax queries and contribute your expertise to domestic projects – e.g. restructurings, M&A tax matters and the implementation of new tax legislation.
  • You drive digitalisation by optimising, further developing and maintaining tax-relevant processes using our IT solutions and finance systems.

 

Who we are looking for
  • You have a university degree in economics or law (or a comparable qualification) with a focus on taxation; passing the German tax advisor exam (Steuerberaterexamen) is a plus.
  • You bring 5–7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the in-house tax department of a corporate group, and have sound knowledge of German direct tax law, IFRS tax reporting (IAS 12 / IAS 34) and tax compliance.
  • You are proficient in working with tax reporting tools, ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and consolidation tools and feel at home in a digital finance environment.
  • You have solid skills in Power BI; experience with Alteryx / Python and Snowflake / SQL is an advantage and underlines your affinity for technology.
  • You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented way, have a strong affinity for numbers and analytical thinking – combining a hands-on mentality with strong conceptual skills, team spirit and the necessary flexibility.
  • You are fluent in German and business fluent in English and impress with your confident manner when dealing with internal stakeholders and external partners such as tax auditors and external auditors.
