Ambu A/S is currently looking for a Global External Warehousing Manager, Global Distribution to be based in Ballerup, Denmark.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing Ambu's global external warehousing network while acting as the global process owner for 3PL management. You will ensure that warehousing operations are efficient, compliant, scalable and aligned across regions, enabling Ambu to support future growth through standardized ways of working and strong warehouse governance.
You will play a key role in connecting warehouse operations with both Inbound Logistics and Outbound Logistics, ensuring that operational processes, performance standards and business requirements are consistently translated into warehouse execution across our global network.
This role combines operational ownership, supplier governance and process leadership with the opportunity to act as Ambu's warehousing subject matter expert in strategic projects, network changes and global supply chain initiatives.
Key responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
Global Process Ownership & Governance
- Acting as the global process owner for 3PL management, defining and continuously improving standardized, scalable, and compliant ways of working across Ambu's global external warehouse network.
- Establishing and governing global warehouse standards, KPI frameworks, performance management processes, escalation models, and operational governance routines.
- Driving harmonization of warehouse processes across regions, ensuring consistent execution, reporting, compliance, and operational control.
Warehouse Network Management & Performance
- Owning the operational relationship with Ambu's external warehouse partners and ensuring stable, compliant, and cost-effective warehouse operations globally.
- Managing warehouse performance through KPI governance, business reviews, and structured performance improvement initiatives.
- Acting as the primary escalation point for warehouse-related operational issues and ensuring timely resolution of service, inventory, quality, and capacity challenges.
Cross-Functional Supply Chain Integration
- Managing the operational interfaces between external warehouses, Inbound Logistics, and Outbound Logistics to ensure seamless material flow, inventory accuracy, and customer service performance.
- Partnering with Procurement, Planning, Quality, and regional Supply Chain teams to align operational requirements, service expectations, and continuous improvement priorities.
- Ensuring warehouse operations support Ambu's quality, regulatory, business continuity, and customer service objectives.
Warehousing SME & Global Projects
- Acting as Ambu's global warehousing subject matter expert in cross-functional supply chain initiatives, providing operational leadership and decision support.
- Leading or supporting global projects involving warehouse implementations, network redesigns, distribution model changes, system implementations, and operational transformations.
- Defining warehouse operational requirements, ensuring operational readiness, and driving successful implementation of new capabilities, processes, and distribution solutions across the global network.

- 5+ years of experience within 3PL management, logistics, or distribution operations
- Proven experience managing outsourced warehousing and 3PL operations in a global environment.
- Strong process ownership mindset with experience driving standardization and operational governance.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes.
- Experience leading cross-functional supply chain projects and acting as a warehousing SME.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a data-driven approach to performance management and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable collaborating across Procurement, Planning, Quality, Inbound and Outbound Logistics functions.
- Skilled at influencing stakeholders and driving results without direct authority.
- Able to balance operational execution, process governance, and long-term business improvement.
