The Tool Technician Iunder strict supervision, performs maintenance functions such as repairs on down-hole tools, surface equipment and other production equipment in the application for down-hole tools.
- Pay Rate: Up to $17.00/hour, depending on experience.
- Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
- Shift Details: 40-hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and disassemble down-hole tools, surface equipment, and various production components.
- Perform manual, repetitive tasks including cabling, basic equipment maintenance, and mechanical assembly/disassembly.
- Manage real-time inventory updates and maintain highly organized supply stores.
- Ensure all units are cleaned, fully restocked, and prepared for immediate operational use.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
- Hands-on experience in a mechanical, electrical, or industrial environment.
- Experience performing manual, repetitive work such as assembly, disassembly, cabling, and basic equipment maintenance preferred.
- Prior oilfield, wireline, or tool shop experience is an asset but not required.
- Mechanical & Electrical Aptitude.
- Attention to Detail & Quality Discipline .
- Comfortable working outside, cleaning equipment, updating inventories, restocking units.
- Machinery/tools used: Hand tools, pressure washers, meters.
