Reliatus Behavioral Health, a leading recruiting organization specializing in behavioral health and autism search services, is seeking a high-performing Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to step into an Associate Clinical Director role at our client's center in Mesa, AZ. This unique position serves as a direct leadership stepping stone to a full Clinical Director role—allowing you to maintain a manageable, high-quality client caseload while actively collaborating with executive leadership on clinical strategy, operational growth, and BCBA mentorship.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $95,000 – $115,000 annually, dependent on total clinical and leadership experience

Position Summary

The Associate Clinical Director (synonymous with Assistant Clinical Director) is designed for an experienced, growth-minded BCBA ready to advance into executive clinical management. In this dual-impact role, you will balance direct clinical care with strategic administration. You will manage a full caseload maintained at a quality-focused standard (up to 12 clients), while simultaneously partnering with the Clinical Director to oversee center strategy, maintain clinical quality, and mentor a team of BCBAs and RBTs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical Leadership & Strategy (Stepping Stone to Clinical Director)

  • Partner directly with the Clinical Director on center strategy, workflow optimization, and clinical quality assurance.

  • Assist in managing, mentoring, and supporting the center's team of BCBAs and pre-certified clinicians.

  • Lead clinical team meetings, case reviews, and cross-discipline collaboration efforts.

  • Serve as an acting leader in the Clinical Director’s absence, building hands-on administrative and operational experience.

2. Clinical Caseload Management

  • Maintain a manageable caseload of up to 12 clients at a time, ensuring quality-driven care over high-volume billing expectations.

  • Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and standardized skill assessments.

  • Develop, implement, and oversee individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on assessment data.

  • Monitor and evaluate client progress through continuous data collection, graph analysis, and treatment plan modifications.

3. Supervision, Caregiver Collaboration & Compliance

  • Provide high-quality clinical supervision and mentorship to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and student analysts.

  • Conduct parent/caregiver training sessions to promote generalization of skills across natural settings.

  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and external multidisciplinary professionals (OT, SLP, pediatricians).

  • Ensure all clinical documentation, treatment plans, and billing notes adhere to BACB, state, and insurance compliance standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the BACB.

  • Current Arizona Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) license (or immediate eligibility to obtain).

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of clinical experience as a practicing BCBA, preferably in a center-based ABA environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, strong organizational skills, and a desire to advance into a Clinical Director position.

  • Proficiency with data collection platforms, EHR systems, and clinical documentation software.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in a Senior BCBA, Lead Clinician, or supervisory capacity.

  • Experience delivering structured mentorship to junior BCBAs and fieldwork students.
