 YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE: 

Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, you will be part of the Maintenance Department and collaborate with other departments of the mine. You will apply the maintenance best practices in terms of preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as playing a significant role between the planning and the execution of work. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment. 

 

  • Plan yearly inventory requirements based on maintenance strategies and adjust the sealift orders accordingly; 

  • Work with the Cost Engineer and Inventory Management to confirm the sealift orders reflect what we plan to consume during the year and consider a safety stock; 

  • Manage the DVN, REP, and COR parts to support the upcoming PCR consumption; 

  • Develop and revise PCR plans that include the identification of required resources, internal and external, tools, equipment, materials, and procedures with estimated task durations; 

  • Develop and provide the midterm rolling PCR schedule and coordinate with the key Maintenance, Mine, and Engineering stakeholders to ensure support of the mine plan; 

  • Develop long-term planned maintenance forecasts and scenarios to support the LOM exercises; 

  • Maintain the accuracy of the PCR backlog and component histories; 

  • Maintain weekly accuracy of budgeted and unbudgeted CAPEX spending in support of the monthly variance reporting and annual budget compliance; 

  • Calculate and provide the 3/4MR forecasts for equipment and fleet availability to Mine Engineering. Explain the actual over/under availability from the previous months; 

  • Other tasks assigned by department supervision. 

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED 
  • Technical or university education in a relevant field (administration, finance, project management, engineering); 

  • Experience in project management, mining experience, and planning; 

  • A minimum of 5 years in maintenance, with 3 years in a maintenance planning role; 

  • Mechanical maintenance with CMMS, project management, economic management, and leading continuous improvement initiatives; 

  • Has an interest in heavy industry (e.g., equipment used in the mining field); 

  • Demonstrates a pronounced mechanical aptitude; 

  • Possesses the ability to influence, organize teams and information, and able to navigate ambiguous financial situations; 

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details, with the ability to interpret data and trends for continuous improvement initiatives; 

  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 

 

Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English. 

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 5 days of work, followed by 2 days for transportation and rest; 

  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
