Athletic Event Support 2026-2027 - (260001RH)Description Job Overview
The Athletic Event Support Assignment serves the district's athletic program by assisting with the operation of middle school and high school athletic events held at district facilities. Individuals selected for this assignment perform assigned duties that contribute to the successful execution of athletic competitions and activities while helping ensure events are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with district and UIL expectations. Assignments may support football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, swimming, track and field, baseball, softball, and other district-sponsored athletic programs. This is an extra-duty assignment. Assignments are scheduled on an as-needed basis and are performed outside a FBISD employee's regular work schedule. Duties vary by assignment and may include responsibilities related to ticketing, game administration, scorekeeping, timing, event operations, facility support, crowd management, and other athletic event functions.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Attendance at conferences and professional development is required. Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.

Additional Information
- Work performed during evenings, weekends, holidays, and other non-duty hours as assigned. Work conducted in various athletic venues, including gymnasiums, stadiums, athletic fields, natatoriums, field houses, and other district facilities. Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, wind, and rain, depending on assignment. May involve prolonged standing, walking, and movement throughout athletic facilities and event venues. May be required to work in crowded, noisy, and fast-paced environments. Regular interaction with students, employees, parents, officials, vendors, and community members.
