Position Overview

The Deposit Support Representative is responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the deposit services function including but not limited to: non-sufficient funds processing, stop payments, non-post resolution, large dollar check verification, IRA & HSA support, returned deposit item processing, customer service and research. The Deposit Support Representative will partner with other internal departments to ensure customer needs are met and any issues are resolved timely. This individual will follow procedures and policies and seek exception approvals as warranted. This individual will also assist with a variety of operational tasks, crucial for the success of the Deposit Services Department. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of duties to support the deposit services function.
  • Processes garnishments.
  • Processes time sensitive transactions.
  • Performs research and error correction.
  • Teams with Deposit Services Team Leader or Deposit Services Manager to perform various audits.
  • Follows all Red Flag procedures.
  • Prepares, scans, and indexes financial documents.
  • Supports correction and maintenance to all customer profiles, portfolios and accounts. Verifies maintenance changes.
  • Responds to inquiries relating to the deposit services function, requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
  • Provides input regarding forms consolidation, revisions, and efficiency enhancements.
  • Provides input to their manager to maintain various procedures as related to the area of responsibilities.
  • Prepares miscellaneous reports assigned by Deposit Services Team Leader or Deposit Services Manager.
  • Regularly investigates changes to rules and regulations involving customer information records and deposit accounts.  Works with other department personnel to appropriately train and efficiently implement required changes.
  • Completes processing for account charge off and collection assignment and tracking.
  • This position requires providing backup departmental support.
  • Supports crucial job functions for Disaster Recovery and business resumption. May occasionally work remotely to test and support live Disaster Recovery situations.

Education & Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; training relating to deposit accounts and account ownership titling and standards.
  • A minimum of one (2) years related experience normally required.

Skill(s)

Moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; strong analytical ability; good interpersonal relations and communicative skills; good typing, computer skills including office suite; excel; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects, handle or feel, and lift items weighing 20 lbs. or less; visual, auditory and speaking skills.

Pay Transparency

We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.
