Job Summary

 

We seek an experienced Business Analyst for Wealth Digital Products, supporting Order Management and Trading platforms.
The role involves understanding business needs, analysing order and trade lifecycles, translating requirements, and supporting platform enhancements. The candidate will collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering, stakeholders, front office, compliance, risk, testing, and support teams.
Equities experience is beneficial. Candidates with strong Order Management, trading platform, or trade lifecycle experience in asset classes like Structured Products, Fixed Income, FX, or Funds are welcome. The key is analysing complex workflows, identifying impacts, and delivering clear requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy*

  • Support the delivery of Equity platform changes aligned to the Wealth Digital Products and Proposition roadmap.
  • Work with Product Owners and technology leads to analyse business priorities, platform gaps, regulatory needs, operational pain points, and user feedback.
  • Contribute to solution shaping by assessing business value, delivery feasibility, risk impact, and end-to-end process implications.
  • Help identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and improve order management, trade execution, settlement, reporting, and portfolio-related workflows across relevant asset classes.
  • Provide business analysis input to support prioritisation, delivery planning, and implementation readiness.

 

Business*

  • Elicit, analyse, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders across front office, dealing, advisory, operations, compliance, risk, and technology.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, data requirements, and control considerations.
  • Analyse front-to-back trade lifecycle processes, including order capture, validation, execution, allocation, booking, settlement, reporting, market data, static data, and portfolio view.
  • Work with Product Owners to refine backlog items and ensure requirements are clear, testable, and aligned to expected business outcomes.
  • Partner with Engineering Leads, Developers, Testers, Architects, and Support teams to clarify requirements and support solution design.
  • Support user acceptance testing, defect triage, implementation planning, release readiness, and post-implementation validation.
  • Assist with stakeholder communication, user enablement, training material, and operational readiness where required.

Processes*

  • Document current-state and target-state business processes, system workflows, user journeys, and operational handoffs.
  • Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, manual workarounds, and opportunities for automation or standardisation.
  • Ensure proposed changes consider end-to-end impacts across front office, dealing, middle office, operations, settlement, compliance, risk, reporting, and client portfolio views.
  • Support delivery teams in maintaining high-quality requirements, traceability, test coverage, and implementation evidence.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Business Analyst practices, documentation standards, and reusable delivery artefacts.

 

People & Talent*

  • Collaborate effectively with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Business Analysts, Developers, Testers, Operations, and Control Functions to deliver shared outcomes.
  • Contribute to the Business Analyst chapter by sharing domain knowledge, analysis techniques, lessons learnt, and reusable templates.
  • Support capability uplift across squads by bringing strong analysis discipline, structured thinking, and practical delivery experience.
  • Build trusted working relationships with business and technology stakeholders across locations and functions.

 

Key stakeholders
•    Product Owners, for roadmap alignment, backlog prioritisation, product value, and delivery sequencing.
•    Engineering Leads and Domain Technology Leads, for solution direction, technical feasibility, platform design, and delivery execution.
•    Front office, dealing, sales, and advisory teams, for product feedback, adoption, user experience, and market relevance.
•    Middle office, operations, settlement, compliance, risk management, and control functions, for end-to-end product impact, controls, and operational readiness.
•    Developers, Testers, Release Managers, and Support teams, for delivery alignment and product quality. 
•    External data providers, exchange-related stakeholders, and vendor/platform partners where relevant to Equities platform behaviour and product evolution.

 

Risk Management
Identify product risks, operational risks, conduct risks, regulatory risks, and user-impacting issues arising from proposed or existing Equities platform capabilities.
Work with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and relevant stakeholders to assess and mitigate product-related risks.
Ensure product decisions consider market rules, trading controls, race conditions, wash trade risks, regulatory guidelines, and operational dependencies. 
Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters.

Skills and Experience

 

  • Minimum 10 years IT experience in financial services, including 3–5 years in Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Investment Banking, or trading platform delivery
  • Experience with Order Management Systems, trading, investment, or trade lifecycle platforms.
  • Knowledge of asset classes like Equities, Structured Products, Fixed Income, FX, Funds, or Wealth/Capital Markets products.
  • Strong grasp of front-to-back order and trade lifecycle processes: capture, validation, execution, booking, settlement, reporting, portfolio view.
  • Understanding of instrument master, market data, static data, party data, trading and settlement accounts, trade lifecycle messaging.
  • Familiarity with FIX, SWIFT, trade messaging, market controls, regulatory and operational risk controls is beneficial.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Developers, Testers, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and business users in Agile.
  • Skilled in supporting testing, defect triage, release readiness, implementation, post-release validation.
  • Strong communication skills to simplify complex business and technology topics for varied stakeholders.

 

Technical Skills

  • Strong requirements analysis skills, including elicitation, process mapping, user story writing, acceptance criteria definition, impact assessment, and stakeholder validation.
  • Ability to understand system workflows, APIs, integrations, data flows, and technical constraints, and to collaborate effectively with engineering teams during solution design and delivery.
  • Experience working with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, SQL, or similar delivery and analysis tools.
Qualifications

Education
•    Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
