Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Advise the creation, implementation, and interpretation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring Valley's practices reflect the highest standards and comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough investigations into workplace complaints, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and compliance with bank policies and legal standards.
- Partner with strategic partners and people leaders to develop and implement corrective action plans, ensuring consistency, compliance, and alignment with internal policies and employment laws.
- Manage accommodation requests in compliance with ADA and other applicable regulations. Work with people leaders and associates to implement reasonable solutions that support productivity and inclusiveness.
- Support the bank through position elimination processes, including planning, communication, and compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Maintain oversight of our case management tool, monitor entries for accuracy, and analyze trends and recommend proactive strategies.
- Proven ability to manage complex investigations and resolve sensitive employee relations matters in a regulated environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decisions and develop solutions.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in employee relations and human resources.
- Master's degree in Human Resources.
