Position Purpose:
Leads the planning, coordination, execution, and completion of maintenance, facilities, infrastructure, and capital improvement projects. Partners with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, and Supply Chain to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and with minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
Primary Activities:
- Lead capital and expense projects from concept development through commissioning and project closeout.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, resource plans, bid packages, and contractor work scopes.
- Coordinate facility improvement projects involving buildings, HVAC, compressed air, utilities, electrical distribution, water/wastewater systems, roads, parking lots, and grounds.
- Partner with Maintenance to prioritize and execute equipment installations, relocations, upgrades, reliability improvements, shutdowns, and outage work.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Safety, Environmental, and Production to ensure project success.
- Manage contractor selection, performance, safety compliance, quality, and schedules.
- Track project milestones, budgets, risks, and deliver regular project status updates.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, building codes, and company safety standards.
- Support risk assessments, pre-job planning, contractor safety reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain project documentation, reports, schedules, budgets, and correspondence.
- Identify opportunities to improve facility reliability, energy efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
- Provide technical leadership and coordinate the work of contractors, technicians, and cross-functional teams as required.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, Project Management, or equivalent combination of education and relevant maintenance/facilities project experience.
- 3 or more years of project management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or heavy industrial environment.
- Experience managing contractors, capital projects, maintenance projects, and facility infrastructure improvements. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project scheduling software. Knowledge of CMMS systems and OSHA regulations preferred.
