Gables Engineering (a HEICO company) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Repair Operations Coordinator to support our Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations. What You'll Do
As a Repair Operations Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring repairs are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with aerospace industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the full lifecycle of repair orders, from intake and evaluation through shipment and customer delivery.
- Support quotation activities and monitor repair progress to ensure customer and contractual requirements are met.
- Prepare, review, and maintain repair documentation, including:
- Work orders
- Certifications
- Invoices
- Shipping documents
- Traceability records
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding:
- Repair status updates
- Turnaround times
- Pricing and quotations
- Warranty determinations
- Escalation of critical AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations
- Monitor customer communications through email and web portals, ensuring timely responses and prioritization of urgent requests.
- Maintain accurate information in customer portals and internal ERP systems.
- Partner with engineering, production, quality, and logistics teams to resolve issues, expedite repairs, and improve operational performance.
- Manage digital documentation processes, including scanning, indexing, and record retention.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements within repair operations.
- Support special projects and additional operational initiatives as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize ERP systems (IFS experience is a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience working with data, ensuring accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and supporting process improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station or other regulated aerospace environment.
- Familiarity with aircraft component repair processes, rotable inventory management, or aviation supply chain operations.
- Experience supporting OEM customers, aviation programs, or contractual service agreements.
- Experience managing customer web portals or similar digital platforms.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily sedentary work with occasional standing and walking.
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force when necessary.
- Visual acuity required for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing documentation and data.
