Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience with large scale distributed systems.
  • 5 years of experience with Cloud APIs or building secure, multi-tenant cloud infrastructure environments.
  • 2 years of experience with software supply chain security, OpenID connect (OIDC), identity and access management (IAM) policy delegation, or cryptographic signing frameworks.
  • Experience programming in Go.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Cloud Run.
  • Experience navigating compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP High, IL5, or ITAR.
  • Experience with Terraform for automated multi-regional resource provisioning.
  • Direct experience integrating LLMs or AI agents into developer tools and workflows.

Their offerings include Cloud SCMs, which supports secure source manager and the legacy cloud source repositories. Another key area is developer connect, which bridges Google Cloud with third-party SCMs through essential infrastructure connections and provides actionable SDLC context for agents. Additionally, software delivery trust is an upcoming product that provides keyless signing, attestations, and policies to ensure integrity of all development artifacts from source code to production.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Canada: $216000 - $221000 (CAD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Support the architectural evolution and influence the future technical direction of Google Cloud's source code management and software supply chain security infrastructure.
  • Transition source code management (SCM) products into an "AI-first" era by developing capabilities that enable agents to autonomously orchestrate the software development lifecycle, ultimately improving organizational productivity and driving GCP runtime usage.
  • Design and develop the next generation of managed software supply chain security services at the intersection of systems development and identity security.
  • Act as a leader among leaders, partnering with Cloud foundations teams to build and deliver robust platforms that meet the stringent security and compliance requirements of enterprise and public sector customers.
  • Partner with Product Managers and other Tech Leads to prioritize opportunities, efficiently distribute work to the team, and maintain system reliability by participating in Cloud Source on-call rotations.
