Job Description
- Supervise structural works during construction of residential, commercial, mixed-use, and high-rise building projects.
- Review and monitor contractor's structural activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Inspect reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, structural steel, post-tensioning works, and other structural elements.
- Monitor project progress and report on structural construction activities.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, project managers, contractors, and authorities.
- Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and requests for inspection (RFIs).
- Conduct site inspections and prepare inspection reports.
- Identify non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Attend progress meetings and technical coordination meetings.
- Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, DEWA, and other relevant authority requirements where applicable.
- Verify quality control procedures and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Support project handover activities and preparation of final documentation.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering.
- Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
- At least 3-5 years of UAE/Dubai experience in building construction supervision projects.
- Experience in high-rise, residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.
- Consultancy supervision experience is highly preferred.
Additional Information
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design principles.
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality regulations, UAE building codes, and international standards.
- Experience reviewing structural shop drawings and design documentation.
- Knowledge of construction methodologies and quality assurance procedures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with BIM/Revit is an advantage.
