This role sits within the Content Operations team in the TV Distribution Unit, supporting the platforms and workflows that deliver content across EE TV services.
You will help ensure customers receive a reliable, high-quality viewing experience by managing operational processes, resolving service issues and supporting technical change.Working across BT teams and strategic suppliers, you will contribute to the delivery of resilient media services and content supply chains.
The role combines operational ownership, technical delivery and continuous improvement within a fast-paced media technology environment.
What you’ll be doing- Support the operational management of content delivery platforms, media workflows and supporting services, helping to ensure a reliable and high-quality experience for EE TV customers.
- Coordinate the resolution of operational incidents, service issues and delivery risks, working with internal teams and suppliers to minimise customer and business impact.
- Support the delivery of technical change, platform enhancements and new capabilities, ensuring operational requirements are understood, tested and successfully implemented.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers and business stakeholders to support delivery outcomes, service improvements and the introduction of new technologies and workflows.
- Monitor service performance and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, resilience and customer experience through process improvement and automation.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks and knowledge articles, while developing expertise in supported platforms and workflows to support effective service management and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to operational readiness, governance and continuous improvement activities to ensure services remain secure, resilient and fit for purpose.
- Experience working within a media, broadcast, streaming or content operations environment, with a strong understanding of digital video formats, codecs, frame rates, metadata and media workflows.
- Experience supporting operational services and technical delivery activities, including incident management, issue resolution, risk management and continuous improvement.
- Experience working collaboratively with suppliers, technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver successful operational and customer outcomes.
- Experience using collaboration and workflow management tools such as Jira and Confluence within a structured delivery environment.
- Experience working with Media Asset Management (MAM) platforms.
- Understanding of content supply chain, Video on Demand (VOD) and streaming workflows.
- Experience supporting cloud-based platforms and services, particularly AWS.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, or equivalent cloud knowledge and experience.
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum or Kanban delivery environments.
