Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of electrical wiring, conduit, panels, disconnects, breakers, lighting, and electrical components.
- Pull, route, label, and secure electrical wiring and cable.
- Assist with electrical integration of modular systems and production equipment.
- Install and mount electrical components according to drawings and work instructions.
- Safely use electrical hand and power tools.
- Assist experienced electricians and maintenance technicians with electrical troubleshooting.
- Support preventative maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
- Assist with testing electrical components and verifying proper operation.
- Help identify electrical issues and communicate problems to lead electricians or supervisors. Blueprint & Drawing Reading
- Read and follow electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
- Learn to interpret panel layouts and electrical drawings.
- Identify installation concerns and communicate them to the appropriate team member. Safety & Quality
- Follow OSHA and GTI safety requirements.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complete work accurately and according to quality standards. Production Support
- Work with electricians, maintenance technicians, engineers, assemblers, and production teams.
- Support electrical integration and testing activities.
- Assist with material staging and maintaining electrical tools and supplies.
- Help meet production schedules and quality expectations. Training & Development
- Develop hands-on skills in industrial electrical systems.
- Learn electrical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
- Participate in on-the-job training.
- Continue developing skills toward advancement within the electrical trade.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts preferred.
- Some electrical, mechanical, construction, maintenance, or trade experience preferred.
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or have completed an electrical apprenticeship program.
- Trade school or technical training in electrical or industrial maintenance.
- Previous electrical construction or industrial experience.
- Experience with conduit, wiring, panels, motors, or controls.
- Familiarity with electrical blueprints and schematics.
- OSHA or electrical safety training.
- Previous manufacturing or industrial experience.
