About the role
The Storeperson plays a vital role in supporting warehouse operations at GroundProbe's Windsor facility in Brisbane, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, allocation, and dispatch of materials and products. Working closely with the Supply and Production teams, the role is responsible for managing inventory, picking materials for production orders, and preparing customer orders for shipment while maintaining accurate stock records and inventory control.
This position also contributes to the smooth operation of the warehouse by identifying when stock needs to be transferred to offsite storage and assisting in the coordination of inventory movements. The successful candidate will help maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized warehouse environment while supporting the timely delivery of products to both internal and external stakeholders.
What you will be doing
- Unload and inspect incoming deliveries, verifying accuracy against purchase orders, checking for damages, visual quality issues, shipment discrepancies, and reviewing shortage sheet requirements to identify any production orders requiring incoming goods.
- Accurately label, store, and organize stock in designated locations, conduct daily cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records, and update internal warehouse documentation, including DIFOT pick-and-pack records and other operational tasks.
- Accurately pick, label, and pack orders for distribution, assign and issue production orders to technicians through the system, finalize and return completed production orders to their warehouse locations, and proactively notify Procurement of any backordered items or production blockers.
- Always Adhere to GroundProbe and Orica health and safety guidelines, maintain clean and hazard-free storage areas, perform daily equipment inspections, and safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, stock pickers, and pallet jacks.
- Collaborate with the Supply and Production teams to support smooth daily operations and proactively notify relevant GroundProbe employees when their deliveries arrive.
- Basic secondary education or equivalent.
- 1 year or prior experience in storeroom operations, warehousing, logistics, or equipment handling is desirable.
- Valid forklift licence is required.
- Ability to follow instructions, maintain attention to detail, and handle tools, equipment, and components with care.
- Experience in kit assembly and packing, basic testing and inspection of components, and the use of inventory management systems or stock control processes is preferred.
