Job Description:

The Credit department is responsible for managing risks that arise from sales with 3rd party customers. Key objective is to assess the creditworthiness of customers, informed by industry, sovereign and external market intelligence, and decide the credit terms that may be extended as part of the sale. The department aims to support the delivery of business objectives through risk & value based decision making consistent with Business Risk Appetite, World Class People and Process with active management of risk and exposures. In doing so, the organisation, is accountable to approve credit exposures and manage them through active monitoring of customers' performance and behavior to ensure that they continue to meet their obligations under these agreements.


As a team member, you will be responsible for performing debt collection activities for Shell operating units under Finance Operations Manila scope. You will be greatly involved in the global/regional trade receivables process for Global Aviation businesses.


You will have many opportunities to work with different business partners in enhancing the cash generation capability for Credit Operations, which includes:
• Develop high level of negotiation skills and maximize commercial opportunities whilst taking acceptable risks;
• Foster an environment that cultivates learning, continuous improvement, strong collaboration across virtual boundaries and diverse cultures;
• Engage and build a strong relationship with global stakeholders, including key decision makers (within Global Aviation businesses)
• Share your knowledge and passion, maximizing your receivables management analyst role and enabling end-to-end value creation for Shell
• Take advantage of growth opportunities through changes – business mandated projects, migrations, process improvements, data & digital transformation projects

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for performing debt collection activities for Shell operating units under Finance Operations Manila scope. You will be greatly involved in the global/regional trade receivables process for Global Aviation businesses.

You will have many opportunities to work with different business partners in enhancing the cash generation capability for Credit Operations, which includes: 

  • Develop high level of negotiation skills and maximize commercial opportunities whilst taking acceptable risks;

  • Foster an environment that cultivates learning, continuous improvement, strong collaboration across virtual boundaries and diverse cultures;

  • Engage and build a strong relationship with global stakeholders, including key decision makers (Global Aviation businesses)

  • Share your knowledge and passion, maximizing your receivables management analyst role and enabling end-to-end value creation for Shell

  • Take advantage of growth opportunities through changes – business mandated projects, migrations, process improvements, data & digital transformation projects

  • Responsible for ensuring that customer debts are collected in line with contracted payment terms.

  • Adhere to the escalation process in carrying out the debt collection activities

  • Responsible for managing release of credit blocked orders

  • Maintain and foster good working relationships with Sales, the business and with relevant FO business partners.

  • Perform dispute initiation and monitoring of resolution in accordance with the defined SLA

  • Handle customer queries as well as that of the Customer Service Center

  • Coordinate with Sales and the business account reviews on assigned portfolios

  • Investigate payment discrepancy reason if the customer fails to provide it in their remittance data.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

The key to success in this position would be your ability to lead your team to deliver several change projects on top of daily operations for multiple markets. You and your team need to be resilient and motivated throughout these changes. Because you will play a critical key integrator role, your ability to influence others needs to cut across different dimensions that include business stakeholders as well as project teams.

  • Degree in Finance or Accountancy

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate risks in the process

  • Prior experience in project management or change management

  • Skill to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders
