The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) are seeking a Warehouse Team Lead to join the MQ‑28 Ghost Bat Production Facility currently being built at Wellcamp Toowoomba, QLD.

In this role you will be part of a team that builds something that matters, grow with a high-performing team, and leave a legacy in Australian defence manufacturing

Why this is exciting

  • This is a rare opportunity to work on Boeing's first final assembly facility outside North America and help build a state-of-the-art site that will deliver Australia's first military-designed combat aircraft in more than 50 years and redefine how advanced aircraft are made.
  • Work on an advanced, high‑visibility defence program (MQ‑28) that blends autonomy, aerospace systems and new production approaches.
  • Shape the future of Australian aerospace manufacturing — your work will support national defence capabilities and the growth of local industry.

We expect this role to commence October 2026.

What you'll get to do:

  • This is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing the receiving, receipting, storing and kitting of stock to support production;
  • Ensure safety and compliance is maintained, recording and reporting all incidents;
  • Co-ordinate daily warehouse operations including start-up, resource planning and execution of work plans;
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through stock management, inspections and system updates;
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, safety and operational performance;
  • Support the onboarding and training of new team members;
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment;
  • Help develop and maintain warehouse procedures and standards;
  • Foster a positive team culture and assist with performance management.

Who we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and supervision;
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills;
  • Intermediate computer proficiency, experience in inventory management systems and comfortable learning new systems;
  • A positive attitude and willingness to continuously improve the way things are done.

Security requirement:

  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.

Location:

  • Wellcamp, Toowoomba

  • Work with cutting‑edge autonomous aircraft technology and a team of highly skilled Boeing and industry experts.
  • Opportunity to shape processes, culture and capability from the facility's inception.
  • Career development, ongoing training and real opportunity to grow within Boeing Australia.
