Forklift Driver
Position Summary
The Forklift Driver operates electric and non-powered material handling equipment, including stand-up forklifts, stock pickers, WAVE machines, and pallet jacks to support warehouse and production operations.
Shift
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Flexibility required to support additional areas outside of forklift operations as needed
- Responsibilities may include general warehouse or production support when business needs require
Peak schedule may vary based on business needs
Duties and Responsibilities
- Pick work orders for various warehouse and production areas using powered industrial equipment
- Perform frequent bending, twisting, and lifting motions as part of daily tasks
- Assist the receiving team with unloading inbound components and raw materials
- Assist with loading trucks for finished goods, customer shipments, and deliveries
- Transport finished goods from production areas to designated staging locations
- Support kitchen and production areas with raw material replenishment as needed
- Put away received raw materials and components into racking using RF scanners
- Water and recharge forklift batteries as required
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by management
- Follow all safety and security procedures and report any unsafe conditions
- Operate all equipment in accordance with established safety guidelines and procedures
Skills & Qualifications
- Stand-up forklift experience required
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or production environment
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and twisting
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to obtain in-house forklift certification in accordance with OSHA requirements
Hourly Compensation & Benefits Template
The expected hourly pay range for this position is $18.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
