The Department of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Project Policy Analyst to support the planning, development, and execution of key program and project initiatives that advance departmental goals and strategic priorities. The successful candidate will play an integral role in coordinating program operations, strategic planning efforts, communications, financial oversight, grant development, and project implementation. This position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners, supervise and train staff, and ensure compliance with UCLA, state, and federal policies and regulations. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic, high-volume environment and is skilled at independently driving projects from concept through completion.

Annually: $74,445.00-$152,460.00

Required:
  • Ability to work independently and also have interpersonal skills to work with teams. (Required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or/and 4-5 years equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience communicating effectively and professionally and working with a variety of internal and external partners, including UCLA administrators, outside funders, policy makers and community representatives. (Required)
  • Strong organizational skills to successfully work on and track complex programs involving short deadlines and multiple tasks, in coordination with multiple teams to achieve program/project mission and goals. (Required)
  • Working knowledge of program/project development, evaluation, creating datasets, financial management and reporting, research principles including CITI training, grant writing and proposal submission, University procedures and policies, program/project related federal and state regulations. (Required) 
  • Ability to seek out and learn new policies, procedures, and software to advance the mission of the program/project. (Required)
  • Ability to train new program/project managers and other staff within and external to the unit. (Required)
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree or 2-3 years of experience
