Job Purpose: Regional Security Head is responsible for fostering a culture of security awareness and operational excellence across assigned geographic regions. This role entails overseeing all security functions at individual sites and clusters, ensuring compliance with security protocols and regulations. By driving strategic initiatives, mentoring security personnel, and enhancing stakeholder collaboration, the Regional Security Head aims to safeguard organizational assets, mitigate risks, and ensure business continuity.

Regional Security Oversight and Strategy Development:

Responsible for the overall security functions across the assigned geographic region, including all individual sites and clusters; ensuring operational and administrative effectiveness

Drive a culture of heightened security awareness at sites through effective capability development initiatives and foster a security-conscious organization.

Regularly review security performance with Site Heads and Cluster Security Heads, conducting site visits at least Thrice a week (Visit plan share with VSH Office) to ensure adherence to security protocols and improvement initiatives.

Oversee Training & capacity building of respective Cluster Security Heads & PSHs under his AOR.

Oversee regular Mock drills & Surprise checks of all Sites to mitigate any untoward incidents.

Budget Management and Compliance:

Collaborate with the HO Team for budget preparation, projecting site-wise security budgets, and overseeing compliance with security automation projects and site-level security regulations.

Ensure timely verification of vendor bills and compliance reports related to payments for security agencies and outsourced manpower, facilitating timely payment processing in alignment of respective Cluster Security Heads to avoid any ROW / IR issues at all Sites.

Team Development and Performance Monitoring:

Mentor and train PSHs and Cluster Security Heads, ensuring they are equipped to manage site security efficiently and maintain high performance Security standards.

Oversee leave schedules for security personnel to maintain adequate staffing levels, ensuring at least 75% availability at all times.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication:

Foster close interaction with Regional Heads (Projects & O&M), Regional Land & estate head and other relevant stakeholders & also conduct a monthly interection including all CCH,CH,CSH & PSHs & share MoMs to all attendees & VSH Office to ensure smooth operations within the region.

Generate and share management information system (MIS) reports regarding site security performance and incidents as required.

Oversee & ensure close interaction of Cluster Security Heads with Cluster Heads.

Security Operations and Incident Management:

Implement and ensure adherence to security SOPs, SMPs & overseeing the general administration of security personnel deployed at sites.

Maintain cyber security norms as promulgated by Group cyber guidelines to ensure non reporting of cyber security violations.

Implement intelligence-gathering measures for proactive risk management to mitigate any ROW / IR issues & untoward incidents at all Sites.

Process Improvement and Best Practices:

Continuously evaluate and improve security effectiveness based on feedback received from Regional Heads (Projects & O&M), Regional Land & estate & other relevant authorities.

Implement technology-enabled best practices (Subject to Budgetory approval from Business) to enhance security operations across the region, staying informed about advancements in security technology.

I&V Development:

Drive a performance driven culture by implementing effective I&V mechanism for reduction of theft cases.

Legal Compliance and Risk Management:

Monitor and ensure compliance with legal requirements for security operations, if any devation found same will report to VSH Office for resolution.

Conduct regular assessments of security arrangements in conjuction with neighboring renewable plants & sharing the insights with VSH Office.

Educational Qualification:

Graduation/Postgraduate degree in any stream.

Additional certifications in security management or related fields are preferred.

Work Experience:

14+ years of experience in security management, with a focus on operational and administrative responsibilities.

Proven track record in vendor management, compliance oversight, and stakeholder engagement within the renewable energy or related sectors.
