The position will be based in Ardley and will require flexibility to work within a 24/7 operation which is a fundamental requirement of the role.
We are seeking a proactive and driven individual to join our Central Control Room as a Control Room Operative.
This is a frontline operational role responsible for the real-time monitoring, control, and optimisation of landfill gas utilisation assets. You will play a key role in maximising asset availability and performance, responding to operational events, and coordinating field resources in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
The role offers a strong development pathway into a fully shift-based control room position, with increasing responsibility for operational decision-making and asset performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control operational assets through SCADA systems.
- Respond to alarms, faults, and operational incidents.
- Coordinate field engineer support and issue resolution.
- Monitor security systems and escalate incidents as required.
- Optimise asset performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain CMMS records and support maintenance scheduling.
- Monitor safety systems to ensure compliance and workforce wellbeing.
- Communicate and escalate operational issues to key stakeholders.
Essential Experience:
- Strong ICT literacy
- Experience of SCADA and/or CMMS systems
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proven problem-solving capability in a real-time operational environment
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach to monitoring and incident response
- Sound judgement in identifying when to escalate issues
