Job Summary

We are looking for an Issue Resolution Manager, Packaging, to lead the resolution of complex technical issues involving filling equipment, packaging lines, and packaging material across the Mid Europe market.

This is a senior individual contributor role with market-level responsibility and no direct reports. You will also provide governance for the wider portfolio of packaging technical issues in the market.

The preferred locations are Austria (Vienna), Germany (Hochheim), Switzerland, Italy (only Rubiera), or Sweden (Lund). Other Tetra Pak locations within Europe may be considered, including a home-based arrangement where appropriate.

Applicants must already have the right to work in the proposed country of employment. International relocation to Europe is not available for this position.

What you will do

As Issue Resolution Manager, Packaging, you will:

 

  • Lead the containment, structured root cause analysis, sustainable elimination of technical root causes and final closure of complex packaging technical issues and Accidents and Incidents assigned or transferred to the Issue Resolution team. This includes:
    • Establishing and coordinating cross-functional issue resolution teams, engaging the technical resources required and managing activities and action plans.
    • Identifying risks of issue expansion and coordinating the deployment of existing solutions or the development of new ones.
    • Maintaining clear and timely communication with customers, market leadership, account teams, and technical stakeholders.
    • Ensuring that investigations, root causes, corrective actions, and supporting documentation meet the required standards before approving issues for closure.
    • Capturing and deploying lessons learned and best practices to prevent recurrence.
  • Govern the portfolio of packaging technical issues across the market, ensuring appropriate ownership, action plans, and progress reviews.
  • Review and approve the appropriate Cost of Poor Quality categories for issue-related costs, within the applicable authorization limits.
  • Drive local Service Desk adoption, issue visibility, data quality, process compliance, and consistent routing of technical issues.
  • Monitor issue resolution performance and provide insights during market performance reviews.
We believe you have
  • At least five years of relevant experience with Tetra Pak or comparable packaging equipment, packaging material, technical service, or issue resolution.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex technical investigations and structured root cause analysis.
  • The ability to coordinate cross-functional teams without formal reporting authority.
  • Strong project coordination, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical findings to customers, specialists, and senior leaders.
  • The ability to manage difficult customer situations and conflicting expectations while remaining calm, objective, and decisive under pressure.
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time, occasionally at short notice.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Advanced certification in Tetra Pak Problem Solving Methodology, Kepner-Tregoe, World Class Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Lean, or another recognized problem solving methodology.
  • Experience with technical issue management systems.
  • Professional proficiency in German.
  • Experience facilitating problem-solving workshops or developing others' technical capability.
