To best support our customers, we are ideally looking for candidates based in South West England, preferably in the Bridgwater area or nearby.
Key responsibilities- Implementing and managing hands-on daily maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities, including the timely submission of service reports to the Service Back Office.
- Planning, coordinating and executing preventive and major maintenance activities to a high standard, following agreed procedures and ensuring the effective operation of customer equipment.
- Providing production support after maintenance activities to restore production lines to pre-maintenance or optimal efficiency while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical and automation malfunctions and equipment breakdowns.
- Conducting systematic root cause analyses to ensure permanent problem resolution or escalating complex issues with detailed technical documentation when the root cause cannot be identified.
- Handling technical claims by providing expert support and guidance in collaboration with the Quality department, including root cause analysis, installation of rebuilding kits, and successful recommissioning of equipment into production.
- Identifying system performance issues and implementing approved operational improvements to optimize equipment performance.
- Proactively identifying business opportunities and sharing customer feedback with the Service Organization to support business growth and strengthen customer relationships.
- Maintaining accurate documentation by tracking, reporting and auditing relevant service activities, ensuring timely submission of all required information in line with established procedures.
- Completed Engineering Apprenticeship.
- HNC/HND in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or a comparable technical qualification).
- Minimum 3 years of experience servicing process or packaging equipment within the food, beverage, brewing or chemical industry.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical and automation systems.
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an international team.
- Willingness to travel (up to 75% during training and up to 50% thereafter, including international travel) and access to a major UK airport.
- Valid full driving licence.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel at short notice
