Job Summary:In this role, you will play a key role in the development phase of the project, leading a team that will oversee several early contractor involvement (ECI) packages, each containing numerous ECI Contractors. You will work cooperatively with executives from the customer and stakeholder organisations, counterparts at other advisors engaged by the customer, and ECI Contractors.
Major Responsibilities:Leadership/Supervision
- Acts as the primary customer and stakeholder contact for all ECI activities.
- Coordinates all project contractual requirements related to ECI management.
- Manages the organisation and direction of construction and related activities.
- Develops and recommends any changes to the staffing plan based on customer change requests.
- Proactively engages with teams’ development through competency development/assessment and feedback.
Planning
- Ensures development and execution of project management plans.
- Establishes processes and procedures as necessary for the effective management of ECI packages.
- Implements an effective stakeholder relations program for ECI team members.
Safety / Quality Control
- Plans and establishes procedures to ensure construction operations meet engineering designs
and specifications. - Ensures applicable corporate policies and procedures are fully implemented.
- Leads overall project safety programs and ensures strict adherence.
- Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 15+ years of relevant experience or 19+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in managerial role on two or more rail projects, preferably in client-side appointments and on high-speed rail projects.
- Experience in managing design build contractors, preferably in rail sector.
- Experience in ECI or similar alternate commercial model that involves interactive collaboration, competitive analysis of proposals use of target pricing.
