Location: HVS District; Warehouse / Satellite Kitchen

 Salary:  $18.80 - $21.30

Reports To: Food Service Supervisor

Status: 46 week position, M - F ; 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Start Date:  As Soon As Possible

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS 

  • School-year schedule with time off during July unless additional work is available
  • One week off during Winter Break
  • One week off during Spring Break

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess or be able to secure a valid Michigan chauffeur's license with all required endorsements
  • Must possess a valid CDL-B license with air brake endorsement
  • Must be able to adapt to assignments across multiple departments and locations, as well as seasonal work that may require changes to scheduled work hours during the school year
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and complete required reports accurately and in a timely manner

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to perform tasks in a safe and timely manner consistent with district & state regulations
  • Ability to be organized, dependable, and to work independently
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with program director, school personnel, and food service staff
  • Ability to keep the truck clean and organized; as well as provide non-mechanical maintenance
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to load and unload deliveries of food & related supplies
  • Other duties as assigned by the Food & Nutrition Supervisor, which may include warehouse duties

 

LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS: Ability to speak and write effectively. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
