Responsibilities of the General Maintenance Tech III:To Ensure that the agency campus is safe by ensuring that maintenance is completed and in a timely manner. The employee will be under direct supervision in regard to time and area of work. 
  • Coordinate and prioritize completion of all campus maintenance work orders and maintenance requests. 
  • Perform general building maintenance, construction, carpentry work, painting and facility repairs.
  • Electrical work/maintenance; house wiring, replacing parts such as light fixtures, receptacles, switches, circuit breakers, wire, etc. Also replacing damaged pails on water heaters and other electrical equipment.
  • Plumbing: repairing broken lines, and leaks, plumbing old and new bathrooms and kitchens, ordering some parts, commodes, urinals, sinks, etc.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, fire protection equipment, and other building systems. 
  • Maintain and repair campus infrastructure, including sewer systems, power distribution systems, transformers and utilities.
  • Operate maintenance equipment and tools; perform welding, deliveries, furniture moves, and transportation of supplies and materials. 
  • Maintain inventory and supplies, participate in 24-hour on-call rotation, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Examples of dutiesHigh school diploma and trade experience directly related to employment; valid driver's license

Additional Requirements:
  • May have to work outside and may work in hazardous conditions based on weather and need.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. pounds. 
  • Physical labor is required.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Must complete required annual trainings as required by the agency.
  • Must be able to work independently and with a team.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and willing to drive a state vehicle, commercial driver's license a plus. 
  • Salary depended on experience.
