SummaryThe Student Organization Center (SOC) Clerical Student Employee provides administrative and customer service support to the Division of Student Life, including University Housing, Student Involvement, Orientation, Registered Student Organizations, the Office of the Dean of Students, and the Vice President for Student Life. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in office operations, event support, customer service, and administrative processes within a higher education setting. Student employees contribute to the day-to-day operations of the office while developing professional skills that prepare them for future career success.This student employment opportunity supports the development of skills aligned with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Career Readiness Competencies. Through this role, students will strengthen the following competencies:

· Greet students, families, faculty, staff, and campus visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
· Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
· Provide information regarding Student Life programs, services, and events.
· Perform clerical duties including copying, filing, scanning, organizing, and preparing documents.
· Assist with special projects and assignments within the Division of Student Life.
· Utilize department software such as eRezLife, Canva, and The Den to support office operations.
· Run errands and deliver materials throughout campus while representing the office professionally.
· Support and assist with Student Life sponsored events.
· Follow departmental procedures when processing petty cash requests.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsMUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY
Must be Federal Work Study Eligible
Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter
- Some knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Good organizational skills;
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
