US Payroll - Technical Implementation Analyst
Role Overview
The US Payroll Technical Implementation Analyst is a subject matter expert responsible for the successful implementation, stabilization, support, and optimization of Lyric HCM Payroll solutions. The role combines US payroll domain expertise, technical problem-solving & client delivery, to ensure accurate payroll processing, compliance, and client success.
Key Accountabilities
Deliver accurate and timely resolution of complex payroll and HCM technology issues.
Lead payroll implementation activities including configuration, validation, testing, and go-live readiness.
Ensure payroll data integrity across HCM, payroll engines (Autopay, PI), and downstream systems.
Maintain payroll calculation accuracy, tax compliance, and operational controls.
Mentor consultants and improve team capabilities through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Identify process improvement opportunities and drive operational efficiency.
Build and maintain client confidence during critical payroll cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Support & Issue Resolution
Troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll, tax, calculation, and integration issues.
Manage escalations and provide support during payroll processing cycles, including critical periods.
Prioritize and resolve Jira-based payroll incidents and defects.
Implementation & Payroll Validation
Configure payroll components including earnings, deductions, taxes, and pay groups.
Perform payroll validation, parallel testing, reconciliations, and audits.
Support go-live execution and post-go-live stabilization efforts.
Data Integration & System Expertise
Analyze payroll data flow between HCM and payroll engines (Autopay, PI).
Resolve mapping, interface, and calculation logic issues.
Ensure accurate integration with GL, banking, reporting, and downstream systems.
Continuous Improvement
Serve as a payroll SME for clients and internal teams.
Provide training and knowledge-sharing.
Analyze trends and recommend process and product improvements.
Support leadership with escalations, workflow management, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications
Skills & Competencies
Deep expertise in payroll processing, gross-to-net calculations, tax regulations, and compliance.
Strong understanding of payroll engines (Autopay, PI), HCM systems, integrations, and data flows.
Advanced analytical, troubleshooting, and reconciliation skills.
Ability to translate business requirements into payroll solutions and configurations.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
Proficiency in AI-enabled productivity tools and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
5+ years in implementation, consulting, or HCM/payroll technology.
5+ years of hands-on US payroll processing and troubleshooting experience.
Experience with payroll systems and calculation engines (Autopay/PI preferred).
Strong payroll tax and compliance knowledge.
Education in technical stream: BE / B.Tech / M. Tech / BCS / MCS / etc.
