As a Placement Associate supporting the ITI ecosystem, you will play a crucial role in strengthening the career pathways of trainees by coordinating with placement officers, institute management, industry partners, and youth. Your primary responsibility will be to improve placement outcomes, enhance employability readiness, and foster meaningful industry partnerships. You will also play a key role in institutionalizing placement practices, supporting data tracking, and facilitating events and industry engagement initiatives at the institute level.

Roles & Responsibilities -

  • Providing Placement support to Industrial Training Institutes, NSTIs and Vocational Training Institutes:

  • Building a robust database of employers by networking with employers, industry bodies

  • Consolidate placement and workshop reports.

  • Submit reports on time for review meetings and enter the details in the database in a timely manner.

  • Ensure all the relevant data is available on time. 

  • Ensuring support to program implementation partners to organise Industry engagement activities effectively and monitoring the same.

  • Building capacity of program implementation partners to plan and organise placement related activities at their institutes. 

  • Anchoring and executing Placements strategies & plans in the region. 

  • Making an annual plan and calendar of placement activities in the region by collaborating with regional teams.

  • Planning and Conducting Employer engagement events (Talks, Walk-ins, Campus Drive)

  • Take the ownership of the placement targets for the region and as per the project’s needs. 

  • Anchor Industry Connect Fellow’s engagement through regular calls and review meetings.

  • Building an active working relationship with representatives of companies, Industry bodies and Placement officers

  • Planning and Conducting Employer engagement events Including placement fairs. 

  • Planning, Meeting & Exploring options of Apprenticeship, Internships, On Job Training, Career Connect Activities with Existing & Prospective Employers for candidates on a regular basis.

  • Supporting state team in organizing & facilitating Job Readiness Training boot camps, Co- facilitating placement session

  • Create, maintain and share reports as per Program Requirements.

  • Open to travel across locations for work.

  • Coordinate & Facilitate Capacity Building of Placement Officers for ITI’s & VTI’s

  • Planning and organising trainings for Placement officers

  • Orientation on placement systems and best practices.

  • Conducting Demo’s on Industry engagement activities.

Requirements

Required Qualification & Skills 

  • Graduate degree in Social Work, Management, HR, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of experience in placement coordination, recruitment, youth skilling, or working within the ITI or vocational ecosystem.

  • Experience working with government institutions, skilling programs, or NGOs preferred.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across districts and regions

  • Placement process knowledge and experience engaging with industries.

  • Strong coordination and relationship management skills with institutions and partners.

  • Experience in delivering employability or soft skills training.

  • Comfort with data collection and reporting tools.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders across institutes and geographies

  • Self-motivated, organized, and result-oriented.

  • Passion for youth empowerment and the skilling ecosystem.

Benefits

Salary: The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 32,000 /- per month (cost to company) ( The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
