Backend Software Engineer (Python / Scala)

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong programming skills in Python or Scala to build scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs. The ideal candidate is passionate about writing clean, maintainable code and enjoys solving complex engineering challenges in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python or Scala .
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following best engineering practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python or Scala .
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency, and distributed systems.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
