A large-scale iron ore operation in Sierra Leone is seeking an experienced
Planning Supervisor
to lead Maintenance Planning and drive safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant performance.
Role Purpose
Supervise and execute all activities related to Maintenance Planning.

Engineering & Maintenance
Reports to:
Planning Superintendent
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop maintenance planners and schedulers
• Prepare annual and short-term (S+6) maintenance plans and budgets
• Plan preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities
• Manage work orders, resources, and shutdown planning via CMMS
• Monitor maintenance KPIs and produce performance reports
• Ensure alignment between maintenance, operations, and engineering
• Enforce HSE standards and promote Zero Harm culture
• Train and upskill national staff through structured coaching
What We Are Looking For
Knowledge & Skills
• Strong CMMS and maintenance planning expertise
• Proven leadership and team management ability
• Solid understanding of mining safety and compliance
• Analytical, structured, and cost-focused
• Strong communication and coordination skills
Experience
• Minimum 5 years in Maintenance Planning (mining environment preferred)
• Experience working in Africa or developing environments essential
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or similar)
• Master’s degree in Maintenance or Reliability – advantageous
