What You Will Do
1 Apply quality control experience across AQP, MQA, GCQ, and SQA activities to support new product development and mass production stability.
2 Conduct new supplier surveys and audits; follow up audit findings through effective corrective actions until closure. Review and approve supplier PPAP submissions.
3 Manage supplier quality issues, issue QNs as needed, and follow up containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and closure status.
4 Monitor production-line quality performance, including IRD tracking and closure, to ensure issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
5 Collect and analyze process yield data; highlight Top 3 issues to the team, drive CIP actions, and verify yield improvement against targets.
6 Maintain and upgrade KS laboratory capability, and coordinate with outsourced third-party laboratories for part verification and validation when required.
7 Review and release SIPs from incoming inspection through outgoing inspection and Control Plan release; provide training to QC and inspectors to ensure consistent execution.
8 Lead customer complaint handling, including sorting, recall/rejection support, cross-functional analysis, FA/CA or 8D reporting, and closure follow-up with customers.
SCOPE: Responsible for KS busbar quality control. In the future, this role may also support busbar quality activities for Poland and Mexico as business needs evolve.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
EDUCATION:
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
PREFERRED: Master’s degree preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED: • Busbar / Automotive quality control background, prefer to have experience at AQP.
• Knowledge cover ISO9001, IATF16949, APQP, FMEA, SPC, GRR/MSA, QC 7tools, 8D etc.
• At least 5 years of related experience in AQP / MQA/ SQA related to busbar / automotive.
PREFERRED: • Experience in the following:
• Metal sheet processing: Punch, laser, CNC, stamping, bending.
• Surface treatment: Powder coating, Ni / Tin / Silver plating, Cleanliness testing.
• Semi/final assembly: diffusion / resistance welding, lamination / PEM, CST, socket insertion
• Testing: Retention force test / Resistance test / Hi-pot testing / push out, torque testing.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
REQUIRED: • Strong understanding of new product development processes and APQP Phase 1–5 requirements.
• Proficient in quality systems and standards, including IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3; experienced in compliance audits.
• Strong data collection and analysis capability; able to interpret MSA/SPC issues and provide clear improvement direction to the team.
• Continuous improvement mindset, teamwork orientation, and ability to work under pressure when project schedules are tight.
• Effective internal and external communication skills, especially customer communication; able to understand customer voice and translate it into design/process control actions.
• Good PC skills, including MS Office, SAP/MIE, and Minitab for data analysis.
• Familiar with problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Six Sigma, and QC 7 Tools.
• Fluent English communication in both speaking and writing.
PREFERRED: • MS Office, Minitab, SAP.
• Project Management and process control experience
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and failure/root cause analysis skills.
