General InformationThe Electric Propulsion team is part of Technology & Innovation within Central Engineering Services in the Research & Development division. The team supports the development of innovative e-machine concepts through simulation-based investigations and prototype development. In addition, new simulation workflows are evaluated and introduced to further enhance technical capabilities and development efficiency.
A basic requirement for an internship at Schaeffler is proof of enrollment at the time of the internship. This position is available as soon as possible for a duration of 6 months.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Set up JMAG simulation models for relevant components or subcomponent
- Prepare and execute of topology optimization using finite element simulation
- Evaluate the influence of simulation parameters on results
- Studies in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Mathematics, or a comparable field of study
- Proficiency in MS Office programs
- Basic knowledge of electric machines and simulation methods
- First experience with finite element simulation
- Fluency in German and very good English skills, both spoken and written
- Analytical thinking and structured working style
- Independent and reliable way of working
- Interest in topology optimization and numerical analysis
