The Impact You'll Make
As an Engineer – Application Engineering, you will help customers solve complex fluid conveyance challenges by developing customized solutions that meet their technical and operational requirements. Working within the Data Center Business Unit, you will act as the link between customer needs and Danfoss engineering capabilities, ensuring the right products and configurations are selected to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with customers, engineering teams, manufacturing, and product management to translate technical requirements into practical designs. Your contributions will directly support customer success, innovation, and the continued growth of Danfoss' presence in the rapidly evolving data center and thermal management industry What You’ll Be Doing
- Interpret customer specifications and recommend appropriate fluid conveyance solutions, including hoses, hose fittings, adapters, and couplings.
- Develop customized configurations, create CAD models and drawings, and provide technical support throughout the solution development process.
- Coordinate prototype development and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and product teams to ensure customer requirements are successfully met.
- Visit customers as required, support field issue resolution, and build strong technical partnerships that enhance customer satisfaction.
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously while driving engineering documentation, change management activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical mentoring within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 3-5 years of experience in the data center industry and/or application engineering environment.
- Hands-on experience with CAD tools such as Pro/ENGINEER (Creo), AutoCAD, or similar engineering design software.
- Strong knowledge of engineering documentation, GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and engineering change management processes using Enovia or comparable PLM systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams, and solve technical challenges using a structured approach.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with hydraulic quick disconnect couplings or fluid conveyance products is highly desirable. Exposure to Six Sigma methodologies, including Lean, DMAIC, and DFSS, will be an advantage.Candidates with experience supporting customer-facing engineering projects, prototype development, and field issue resolution within industrial, cooling, thermal management, or fluid handling applications are encouraged to apply.
