Your Job

As a Manufacturing Engineering Stamping Die Designer, you will support the design, tooling, and process engineering teams in developing new connector and terminal products, as well as enhancing existing product lines. This role provides the opportunity to contribute throughout the product development lifecycle, helping transform innovative concepts into high-quality manufacturing solutions while supporting Molex's continued growth.


Our Team

You will join the CCS division and collaborate closely with Stamping Engineering, Production Engineering, Tooling Engineers, Toolmakers, and both internal and external vendors. The team works together to develop innovative connector and terminal solutions, drive manufacturing excellence, and support new product introduction and continuous product improvement initiatives.


What You Will Do

  • Support all phases of product development required to bring connector concepts into production in accordance with the Molex New Product Development (NPD) process.
  • Prepare presentation materials for internal and customer design reviews.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, reliability, product management, and project management teams to ensure design objectives are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Provide product information, engineering samples, and technical guidance to support development activities and business objectives.
  • Prepare and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECTR) in accordance with document control procedures.
  • Support design, process, and tooling engineers in internal and customer 8D problem-solving and resolution activities.
  • Understand, support, and contribute to Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, ISO, Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S), and other management systems by following established policies and procedures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to develop new die designs and implement significant improvements to existing processes.
  • Take ownership of die design activities and drive value creation through design optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by management.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Diploma or Degree in an Engineering discipline with relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of stamping engineering experience, including process development, die trials, production support, or tooling improvement.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet established timelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and spreadsheet tools.
  • Effective written, verbal, and group communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide technical guidance and share knowledge with engineering teams.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Engineering specialisation in die design with strong technical drawing knowledge.
  • Experience in high-speed stamping die design and tooling troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with NX 3D modelling software or equivalent CAD platforms, including both 2D and 3D design.
  • Experience with connector die design and development.
  • Extensive die design experience with a strong understanding of tooling design, tool assembly, specifications, and troubleshooting.
