The Automation Engineer – Mechanical supports the design, development, introduction and continuous improvement of automation equipment and fixtures. This role helps deliver manufacturable, high-quality equipment solutions that improve equipment reliability, production efficiency, product quality and overall manufacturing performance.
Our Team
You will join the Production team and work closely with MIE, Quality, Maintenance, Production and external suppliers. The team focuses on automation equipment and fixture development, equipment platform standardization, equipment validation and continuous improvement to support stable manufacturing operations.
What You Will Do
Design, develop, introduce and continuously improve automation equipment and fixtures.
Work with MIE to define and confirm equipment technical solutions, ensuring they meet production, quality, maintenance and safety requirements.
Participate in standardizing equipment, fixtures and key spare parts, and help drive alignment on equipment platforms and spare-parts brand standards.
Develop trial-run and acceptance plans for equipment, and organize equipment debugging, validation and acceptance activities.
Manage the full lifecycle of new equipment from development, trial production and acceptance through handover to mass production.
Support the stable operation of mass-production equipment and fixtures while continuously improving equipment reliability, production efficiency and product quality.
Analyze and resolve equipment-related issues, and drive equipment optimization and automation improvement projects.
Collaborate with Production, MIE, Quality, Maintenance and supplier teams to support smooth project execution and continuous improvement.
Guide automation technicians in equipment assembly, debugging, maintenance and improvement activities.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Associate degree or above in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Manufacturing, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
3+ years of experience in automation equipment, fixture or non-standard equipment development.
Familiarity with automation equipment development processes and mechanical structure design.
Proficiency with design software such as SolidWorks, UG/NX and AutoCAD.
Experience in equipment debugging, acceptance, mass-production optimization, equipment maintenance support and on-site problem solving.
