Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in Kernel development, and architecting and developing distributed systems design.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in managing internal infrastructure, developer tools or distributed computing infrastructure.
- Experience in working on customer facing products/APIs.
- Proven skills in managing teams working on highly distributed and reliable systems.

Responsibilities
- Manage a team focused around defined product area within Google Compute Engine.
- Build, grow and retain top talent and continually find ways to inspire and challenge the engineering organization.
- Work with team members on their career and general performance.
- Set direction and priorities for the product area, in cooperation with the team.
- Build cross-functional partnerships, and work closely with developers and product managers to identify productivity, production quality and coverage issues, and provide insight on improving both through scale and tooling.
