Job Summary:In this role, you will provide non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects. You will establish stakeholder relationships, conduct schedule analysis and integrate activities, identify restraints, quantify risks, monitor cost and performance, recommend alternatives, and deliver training sessions and workshops. Your activities will synthesize project components into seamless execution.

"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”.
- Establish and maintain the project reporting framework, reporting calendar, distribution matrix and governance requirements for internal, customer and executive reporting.
- Define report templates, reporting standards, data cut-off rules, approval workflows and quality checks to ensure consistent, auditable and comparable information across reporting cycles.
- Align reporting deliverables with contract requirements, project execution plans, the work breakdown structure, control accounts and project controls procedures.
- Integrated Performance Reporting. Lead the preparation and issue of weekly, monthly and ad hoc project performance reports, dashboards and management packs across cost, schedule, progress, quantities, risk, change, procurement, construction and commissioning readiness.
- Integrate inputs from estimating, cost, planning and scheduling, risk, change management, contracts, procurement, construction, engineering and functional teams to provide a single source of truth for project performance.
- Ensure performance narratives clearly explain current status, movement from prior reporting periods, key drivers, emerging issues, forecast impacts and required management actions.
- Own reporting data quality processes, including validation, reconciliation, exception reporting and close-out of data issues before reports are issued.
- Partner with project controls systems, digital and functional teams to improve reporting efficiency through dashboards, automated workflows, controlled data sources and fit-for-purpose analytics.
- Maintain strict version control, document control and records management for issued reports and supporting data.
- Stakeholder Management and Communication. Facilitate reporting review meetings, performance discussions and report close-out sessions with functional leads, area managers, project leadership and customer representatives.
- Translate complex project controls information into concise presentations, dashboards and executive summaries for different stakeholder groups.
- Manage reporting expectations, issue resolution and timely escalation of reporting risks, gaps or inconsistent inputs.
- Lead, coach and coordinate reporting analysts and contributors to deliver accurate, timely and high-quality reporting outputs.
- Develop reporting guidance, lessons learned, training material and continuous improvement initiatives to improve reporting maturity across the project.
- Promote a disciplined project controls culture focused on transparency, data integrity, accountability and proactive management action.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, finance, quantity surveying or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Typically 10+ years of relevant project controls, reporting, cost, planning, scheduling, performance management or project delivery experience, including experience on large, complex infrastructure or major capital projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading reporting processes, coordinating multi-discipline contributors and producing executive-level project performance information.
- Large Infrastructure Reporting: Proven ability to manage reporting for complex infrastructure projects with multiple work-fronts, interfaces, contractors, functional disciplines and customer governance requirements.
- Data Analytics and Visualisation: Advanced capability with project reporting systems and tools, such as Excel, Power BI or equivalent dashboarding tools, with the ability to structure data, reconcile sources and present performance insights clearly.
- Commercial and Contract Awareness: Working knowledge of how contract requirements, change, claims, procurement, commitments, quantities and project delivery strategy influence reporting obligations and performance messaging.
- Governance and Quality assurance: Strong attention to detail and commitment to reporting governance, document control, version control, approvals, audit trails and defensible reporting outputs.
- Stakeholder Communication: Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including the ability to convert complex technical and project controls data into concise executive-level narratives and actions.
- Leadership and Coordination: Ability to lead reporting contributors, influence without direct authority, manage reporting deadlines and drive accountability across functions in a high-pressure project environment.
- Problem Solving and Judgement: Strong analytical judgement, ability to identify root causes of variances, test data quality, challenge inconsistent inputs and recommend practical corrective actions.
