We're looking for a Data Analytics Specialist to join our Networks Data & AI team, helping turn complex data into meaningful business insight that influences real-world outcomes.
This is an opportunity to work on business-critical analytics programmes that directly impact customer experience, network performance, revenue growth and investment decisions. You'll analyse large and complex datasets, uncover trends and opportunities, and help senior stakeholders make informed decisions using evidence-led insights. You'll also have the chance to work alongside experienced data scientists, engineers, architects and product teams, whilst developing expertise in cutting-edge analytics, AI and machine learning.

What you’ll be doing- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends and opportunities within large-scale datasets.
- Transform complex business questions into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Build analytics products, dashboards and visualisations that enable stakeholders to understand and act on data.
- Analyse customer, network and operational data to improve performance, efficiency and customer experience.
- Apply statistical techniques such as clustering, regression analysis and significance testing to solve business challenges.
- Gather, integrate, cleanse and analyse data from multiple sources to ensure reliable reporting and insight generation.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver impactful analytics solutions.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical audiences, helping drive informed business decisions.
- Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and scalability across analytics processes.
- Contribute to BT's evolving data, AI and analytics capability through innovation and best practice.
Essential Skills / Experience
- Demonstrable experience performing exploratory data analysis at enterprise scale, including the use of statistical techniques such as clustering, regression analysis, principal component analysis (PCA) or similar analytical methodologies.
- Strong SQL capability and experience working with large, complex datasets, alongside proven experience in data management, data modelling and statistical analysis within a commercial environment.
- Experience creating dashboards, visualisations and insight-driven reporting, with the ability to communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively to non-technical business stakeholders.
- Experience using Python, R or similar analytics tools.
- Experience with Qlik, Apache Superset or other enterprise visualisation platforms.
- Mobile, telecommunications or network analytics experience.
- Experience working with Net Promoter Score (NPS), customer sentiment or customer experience data.
- Exposure to machine learning, artificial intelligence or predictive analytics techniques.
- Experience identifying commercial opportunities through customer, operational or network data analysis.
