Description:
- The Accounting Intern will be responsible for aiding in Data Analysis and General Accounting responsibilities, which encompasses acquiring knowledge of processes, creating reports, and presenting findings to Management.
- The intern will carry out general accounting responsibilities, overseeing Accounts Payable, and tracking and reporting Key Performance Indicators. Additionally, they will complete the Fixed Asset capitalization process and produce audit lists.
- They will also perform account reconciliations as needed.
- Monitors and reports efficiencies gained in projects.
- Review and develop digitalization process efficiencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
The qualified intern should expect to contribute to improvements in the following functions:
- Conduct research and conceptualize new ideas.
- Support project management and coordination of plans for related projects.
- Coordinate and support focused, community-based events and initiatives.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret information to evaluate the landscape against business strategies.
- Stay abreast of best practices and recommend relevant initiatives for activities and actions.
- Provide regular input on enhancing processes and practices.
- Support the organization’s vision, strategy, priorities, and roadmap.
- Partner with stakeholders to enable successful prioritization, development, delivery, and adoption of program goals.
- Create PowerPoint slide decks for presentations and support preparation for meetings.
- Participate in project team meetings.
- Provide general administrative support.
- Schedule the use of meeting room facilities on an as-needed basis.
- Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned by project team members.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate business‑related degree.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
- Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
- Good organization and project management skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills in English.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
- MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
