What You'll Do:
- Play a key role in the development of Transportation, Distribution & Logistics (TD&L) incurred cost and Cost-to-Serve budgets and forecasts, serving as a trusted business partner providing insightful analysis and hands-on financial support.
- Support the preparation of Commercial SG&A budgets and forecasts, providing actionable insights and recommendations to Commercial leaders based on analysis of actual results, trends, and forecasted performance
- Analyze and consolidate data from multiple sources to generate meaningful financial insights, translating complex information into clear, actionable recommendations for management
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and decision support to Commercial team, including participation in key operational and strategic projects.
- Collaborate closely with the Finance team to support the interpretation, application, and implementation of accounting policies and financial processes.
- Support TD&L condition rate and liquidation analysis, delivering insights that improve forecast accuracy and enhance communication with business partner
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and strategic projects across Finance and Commercial to drive operational efficiency and business performance
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, with 6 years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, accounting, or a related field
- Professional accounting or finance designation (CPA, CFA, or equivalent) is considered an asset
- Proven track record of building strong relationships and serving as a trusted business partner to cross-functional stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business insights
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong financial modeling and presentation capabilities
- Experience with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP, and MS SQL Server (MSSQL/SQL) is considered an asset
- Knowledge of Nutrien’s Transportation, Distribution & Logistics (TD&L) network, systems, and operations is an asset
