Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the shop
  • Supervise all shop staff
  • Ensure that all work is performed safely, cost effectively and in a timely manner
  • Manage parts inventory; ensure timely and effective acquisition of materials; minimize on-hand inventory
  • Perform inspections, diagnosis, & repair on Plow Trucks, Heavy Equipment and Light Support Gear through preventative & scheduled maintenance
  • Ensures that all shop personnel, equipment, vehicles and work areas are always following all safety policies and regulations
  • Liaise with Operations Supervisors and drivers in a professional and team-oriented manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Maintain all equipment records and files
  • Always ensure compliance of CMMS and is accurate and complete 
Qualifications
  • 310T Truck and Coach Technician License
  • 310S License considered an asset
  • D class driving license considered an asset
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Your own set of tools
  • Valid Ozone Depletion Training is considered an asset
  • Proficient in all areas of hydraulic systems and related repairs
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to take on new challenges
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot faults
  • Diagnostic software experience considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Available to work late, weekends, and holidays when needed
Compensation Data

Targeting a starting rate between $46 to $48 per hour
