Summary
The
The Licensing Division within the City of Springfield's Finance Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of part-time Licensing Representative. The Licensing Representative is often the first contact citizens have with the City when inquiring about or applying for a business license. As such, the position requires strong customer service skills and dedication to best practices and code compliance.

Licensing Representatives are responsible for issuance of business licenses involving proper application of related City codes and State statutes and providing excellent customer service to the public by phone and in person with matters relating to the licensing of businesses.

Examples of dutiesExperience, Education, and Training
  • Three years of responsible administrative office work with at least one year involving direct public contact.;
  • Related college or vocational education may be substituted for some or all of the required experience.
