Dental Hygiene Clinical Instructor - Adjunct
Position Summary:
The responsibilities of the successful candidate for the Dental Hygiene Faculty include clinical teaching.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- laboratory and clinical teaching
- grading and evaluation
- Participate in and support clinic or pre-clinic assignments
- Student mentoring and advising
- Accept and participate in other duties as assigned
- Regular and reliable attendance
Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:
Education:
- Must be a dental hygienist with a minimum of an associate degree; a baccalaureate degree preferred
- Professional experience necessary to understand and fulfill the program goals
- Documented background in the assigned subject
Professional:
- Must have a current Maryland-issued Dental Hygiene or Dental License, or the ability to obtain one
- Must have current CPR certification/health care provider
- Excellent oral and written communication
- 3 years of full-time clinical experience
- Teaching experience preferred
- Documentation of background in educational methodology
Classification: Exempt
Work Hours: Part-time and may include evening/weekend hours

Working Environment: Interior/Office - clinical setting
